Jennifer Stevenson - FOUNDER/CEO
The Garden of Knowledge is owned and operated by Jennifer Kelsay Stevenson. "Ms. Jen", as she is affectionately known, carries on a family legacy in education. She is a graduate of West Jefferson High School and holds a CDYC (Care and Development of Young Children) Degree from Delgado Community College. Ms. Jen is also a graduate of the prestigious Louisiana Early Leaders Academy, a program backed by Harvad University's Saul Zentz Early Education Initiative and the Louisiana Department of Education and has been recognized by the same as one of the 2022 Inaugural Top 5 Leaders of the Year in Louisiana Early Childhood Education.
Ms. Jen also serves on numerous boards and committees related to Early Childhood Education and Development and has worked in an advisory capacity to Governor John Bel Edwards' Early Childhood Task Force on ways to expand access to quality early education for at-risk youth in foster care as well as other marginalized communities, ensuring every child has equal access.
Jenifer Jarrell - Director
Mrs. Jenifer Jarrell, who we lovingly call "Mrs. Jenny," is proud to serve as the Director at The Garden of Knowledge. She brings over 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, with a passion for creating safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments where young children can grow and thrive.
Mrs. Jenny has an Associate's Degree in Care and Development of Young Children, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree to further deepen her knowledge and commitment to this field. As both an educator and a mother of two, Mrs. Jenny understands firsthand the importance of providing high-quality care that supports the whole child: emotionally, socially, and academically.
At The Garden of Knowledge, Mrs. Jenny strives to lead with compassion, communication, and a deep respect for every child and family we serve. "I believe early childhood is the foundation for lifelong learning, and I'm honored to be part of that journey with you."
