Jennifer Stevenson - FOUNDER/CEO
The Garden of Knowledge is owned and operated by Jennifer Kelsay Stevenson. "Ms. Jen", as she is affectionately known, carries on a family legacy in education. She is a graduate of West Jefferson High School and holds a CDYC (Care and Development of Young Children) Degree from Delgado Community College. Ms. Jen is also a graduate of the prestigious Louisiana Early Leaders Academy, a program backed by Harvad University's Saul Zentz Early Education Initiative and the Louisiana Department of Education and has been recognized by the same as one of the 2022 Inaugural Top 5 Leaders of the Year in Louisiana Early Childhood Education.
Ms. Jen also serves on numerous boards and committees related to Early Childhood Education and Development and has worked in an advisory capacity to Governor John Bel Edwards' Early Childhood Task Force on ways to expand access to quality early education for at-risk youth in foster care as well as other marginalized communities, ensuring every child has equal access.
Kaitlyn Graves - Director
Kaitlyn Graves, also known as Miss KK, is the director of The Garden of Knowledge. She brings a passion for building a nurturing environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to grow.
Before stepping into her role as director, she served at The Garden of Knowledge in multiple capacities, gaining valuable experience in both classroom and administrative operations. Miss Kaitlyn also has her Child Development Associate (CDA) and has been a dance teacher for 20 years. Through dance she has strengthened her belief that every child has unique talents and deserves to be encouraged and celebrated.
As Director, Kaitlyn believes that a successful childcare center is built on Teamwork, communication, trust, and a genuine love for children. She looks forward to making a positive difference in the lives of the children and educators who make our school so GREAT!
